shahshy Posted August 19, 2011 Report Share Posted August 19, 2011 Hello All, While I know I can utilize EAD to a new employer, I thought to ask for opinion if anyone sees any big risk in doing what I am planning to do. I have been working for my current employer for last 7.5 years. My GC has been pending for last 7 years and I have EAD since 2007 (remember those forward movements?) but I have not utilized it. I have another wonderful opportunity that is in the same line of work to what I do. My questions are - 1.) Can I invoke AC21 portability and utilize my EAD for this new position? 2.) I have a AP that I recently renewed. If I invoke AC21 and use EAD to join another employer, can I and my wife use the AP we recently got for travel out of country? or do we have to file a new AP again after utilizing AC21? Though the answers seem obvious, I thought to make sure with fellow forum members so that I do not end up making any crazy mistake. I will appreciate your answers. Thanks Link to comment
