Now i want to apply for jobs but most of the jobs which suit me & in my city asking for working on their W-2.So my question is can i change my h1b to another consultant & start working with him. Can the transfer happen without no recnt pay-slips.Pls let me know as it would help me a ton & i can immdeiately approach the new consultants working on their W2. PLSSS help Thanks, Latha Link to comment
pontevecchio
You can have any H1 sponsor with a job directly or in layers file your H1 petition. Link to comment
La211
Thanks so much for answering,But i ddin't get it clearly means am i eligible to work on their W-2? Suppose i got an offer from company saying my H1 has to be on their W-2 & they will transfer my H1 but i dont have any recent paystubs as i was on H4.Before changing to H4 i had 3 pay stubs..So would that be enough to transfer? Desi Dude
You will need atleast 3 last payslips to transfer. By the way, you know that you did not work for a long time while on H1B and thats illegal. Link to comment
pontevecchio
You do not need pay stubs. It is not a transfer. You have been cap counted and hence entitled to a total of 6 years in H1 status in the absence of fraud. And yes a direct hire is a good idea. Link to comment
