hesky77
Hello! I am currently on H1B status: > My H1B visa was issued on 2009 and expires on 2012; > On February 2010 I got an H1B visa stamp. Unfortunately, the visa officer only issued the visa for one year. So it expired in February 2011. > On February I re-entered the US, and the CBP officer wrote on the I-94 "September XX 2012" as the expiration date. I wish to travel to Canada, and I want to know if I can use AVR to re-enter to the US? It's probably a weird question, but does it make a difference that my current valid I-94 form is not the same I-94 form that was originally attached to the i-797? Is AVR still an option for me? Thanks for your help! Link to comment
hesky77
There's a small mistake on my message above: > My I-797 was issued on 2009 and expires on 2012; This I-797 was my approval of change of status from TN visa to H1B visa. My visa stamp was issued on February 2010 and expired on February 2011. My I-94 was issued on February 2010 and expired on September 2012 (same date as the I-797). Link to comment
