shashi1238
Hi All, I have an issue with my I94 card expiration. I have transferred my H1 B from X company (my previous employer) to Y company in May, 2010 and It approved until 04/22/2013. On Jan 31st January 2011 I went to India and back on 24 March 2011 and again because of some emergency I again traveled to India on31st March and returned on April 4th 2011, while I am returning I don't have the new H1 B copy receipt with the Y company, as I lost the I797 receipt , So we applied for an duplicate copy and I received that after I reached US in April and I can't produce my new I797 receipt at immigration, I produced my old I797 receipt and Immigration officer had entered expiry date as Sep 24,2011 which was my expiration date with X compacny H1 B. Can anyone suggest what I have to do in this situation. Thanks in Advance. Link to comment
iamvoid
You will have to spend money and extend our I94 or you could go out to mexico and comeback and show the new i797 for new I94, again spend money. btw, you could have used the photocopy of your new I797 at POE, you don't need the original there. pontevecchio
If you used the approved Petition with X to enter and work for Y, you could be in serious trouble. Get a Lawyer involved now. Link to comment
