gchelp4me Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 Hello, I work for a company which is prepared to file for my family-based GC. They tell me that it will save me the cost of applying on my own and the process will be expedited. Are there any restrictions that my company can place on me or my family-based GC once they file it? Are there any other factors I should take into consideration before I agree to have my comapny process my family-based GC for me? Thanks on advance. Regards, NS
pontevecchio Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 what exactly do you mean by family based Green Card?
Joe.F Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 Huh? No sane company would be willing to be on the hook for 10 years for you. This sounds very fishy.
uscboy Posted August 18, 2011 Report Posted August 18, 2011 No sure if a company can file a Family based GC. You should talk to an attorney first (outside the company) to make sure you are not doing anything wrong.
