eaglepath Posted April 3 Report Share Posted April 3 Hi, I am on H1 visa with 2026 expiration and possibility to renew till 2029. I don't have I-140 approved yet. My Fiance is on F1 visa which is expiring in June 2024 and their 3rd H-1 attempt didn't go through. Given that Day-1 CPT is not an option for us, may I know if it is recommended to get our marriage registered here in U.S and start H-4 process (I know my fiance can't work till my I-140 is processed) or both of us go back to our country, get married and then let my fiance go through visa stamping process for H-4.
