Krish1963
I had filled up the DS160 in June'23 and received the confirmation. I was in service. I retired in December'23. My Biometrics and interview is in March'24. Hence to reflect the correct position during interview does my DS 160 needs to be updated. In the mean time my son has moved to us for one and half years. In this context: Can someone guide me with the procedure to update the DS160 for which I have a confirmation. Do I have to pay the VISA fee again? Hope not. In DS 160 I had mentioned the details of a friend who is a citizen of US. He will also send me the invitation letter. Is it possible to submit multiple references in DS 160 ? In that case I will mention my son as well along with all his details. He can also send me the invitation letter. Does an invitation from son or daughter have an edge over an invitation from a friend or relative etc. ? Quote Link to comment
pontevecchio
1. lOOK AT Visas - U.S. Embassy & Consulates in India (usembassy.gov) 2. Invitation letters are not needed and can be counterproductive. Just answer questions asked by the VO in brief with eye contact. Quote Link to comment
