AnilaC
I have mentioned that I have a sibling in USA in DS 160 of B2 visa which was approved in Feb 2023. I actually made a mistake as I am the only child and I do not have any siblings. He is my cousin. I have applied for F1 in Dec 2023 and I mentioned the same in F1 DS 160 because I already made a mistake in B2 visa. In my F1 visa interview, I was asked if I have a family in US and I said no, I have a cousin in US. Immediately my visa was rejected. Should I change the sibling to relative in new DS-160 application when applying again for F1 and is it fine if it differs from my B2 application which is already approved. Quote Link to comment
pontevecchio
Only Immediate relatives in the USA needed to be mentioned. A cousin is not an Immediate relative. You should get some guidance from the firm of Murthy in Chennai as applying again may have the same result. Quote Link to comment
