Ravi Teja S Posted January 4 Report Share Posted January 4 Hi, I am having valid H4 Visa (Issued in Dec'2022 and valid till Sep'2024). Travelled to USA in Sep'2023 and came back to India in Nov'2023. Now, I have F1 Visa interview scheduled on 11th Jan'2024 for Summer intake (classes start from 15th May'2024). My question is if i get F1 Visa stamped next week then can i come to USA on existing H4 Visa on 26th Jan 2024? I would like to exit and re-enter USA in April 2024 for studying on F1 Visa. Is there any issues at Port of entry? Will Immigration officer says F1 Visa is latest so i should not come to USA before 30 days of classes start date. Does USCIS cancel existing H4 visa while issuing F1 Visa? Thanks for your reply in advance. Quote Link to comment
pontevecchio Posted January 5 Report Share Posted January 5 No rule stating one cannot have multiple visas. You use the appropriate visa for entry. H4 if you want to meet up with your spouse and F1 for entering to study. Quote Link to comment
