MAllikarjun0305 Posted November 4, 2023 Report Share Posted November 4, 2023 Hi, I had change of status to F1 from B1. taken admission in college and CPT authorization has been approved by college but while applying for SSN they didnt not accept application stating your visa status has not updated yet my immigration. SEVIS record has correct information and its reflecting my CPT. Could you let suggest best way to get this resolved. Quote Link to comment
newacct Posted November 8, 2023 Report Share Posted November 8, 2023 Your Change of Status approval notice I-797A should have a new paper I-94 as part of it. That is the I-94 you should present. The CBP's I-94 website will only have your I-94 from entry; you should not be looking at that because that is the wrong I-94 -- it has been superseded by the paper I-94 you got from USCIS when your Change of Status was approved.
