H1BUser24
Hello, My son is a college student, has completed his college internship and also currently working part time. He is sponsoring for immigration for my spouse and myself, we are his biological parents. He will not be earning enough for this year to meet the Affidavit of Support requirements, so I am planning to combine my income as household member. Does he need to provide his income information on the form I-864, from the income he earned from internship early this year and his current part time job, or I could say he is unemployed and put all my income as a household member which is more than sufficient to meet the Affidavit of Support requirements. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
newacct
His current income is the annual salary of his current job. If that is not enough, his parent's income can be included as a household member's income if the parent is living in the same residence as him. Also, if the intending immigrant has earned 40 Social Security credits, then they can do I-864W and then your son does not need to do I-864. Quote Link to comment
