Recieved GC - Outside USA

I had to travel to india by May 2023 to take care of my immediate family member. I received my EB-3 GC on June 2023 while I was at india and upon my request, my friend sent the physical card to me at india. 
1) what is the timeline before which I should go back to USA ? 
2) what should my response at port of entry regarding possession of my green card

Assuming you traveled outside the country using a valid AP or a valid H1B, there should not be any issues when re-entering the U.S. using a valid green card and any questions asked at the port of entry should be answered truthfully. Generally, once an individual becomes a lawful permanent resident it is advisable to keep any of their trips outside the U.S. under 6 months.
