Can H4 spouse stay in us if primary visa holder (H1B) is transferred to 3rd country for 12 months?

The H4 holder has EAD and visa is valid till Oct 2025. If I get temporarily transferred to a 3rd country for a period of at least 12 months, can they stay here and continue to work? I intend to return and resume my H1B status after 12 months.
