Zodiac System Posted October 16, 2023 Report Share Posted October 16, 2023 Normally H1b's resign, when they get another job/employer who does their H1b transfer. In case layoff / termination of job from current employer, H1b has 60 days to find another employer/job. In case H1b cannot find another employer and wants additional time (beyond 60 days), he can change to H4 OR B1/B2 and continue searching for job/new employer. New employer will help him change his status back to H1b by filing a COS petition with USCIS. Quote Link to comment
