Sre1
I’m waiting for my NVC interview for EB1, it was documentarily complete (06/2023). My.current passport is expiring in 04/2024. If I have my interview 4-5 months before the passport expiry date (09/2023-12/2023), May I please know if I need to renew my passport? (The website mentions 6 months from interview date, but not sure if it applies). Thank you very much Quote Link to comment
pontevecchio
Since you will need the passport in the future you should renew it using Tatkal, if allowed. Quote Link to comment
Sre1
Thanks for the reply. Would unexpired passport (3-4 months before expiry) be enough for the visa interview? I would have enough time to get it renewed later. Thank you very much Edited August 17 by Sre1 Quote Link to comment
pontevecchio
"Unexpired passport valid for eight (8) months beyond your intended date of entry to the United States." I would take this statement seriously and get your passport renewed. I understand TATKAL is very fast.? Quote Link to comment
Sre1
All the documents (DS 260, PCC, etc.) has my old passport number. Would it be a issue for the biometrics appointment, interview etc.? Quote Link to comment

In addition, for the interview we understand you can complete a new DS260 with the new passport information and bring a printed copy with you to the interview. Quote Link to comment
