H1B grace period

I am currently on H1b visa with a company for 8.5 years. My current I797 expires on Sept 19th. My employer filed for extension I129 in April. I am trying to interfile in premium ASAP.

I have strong reason to believe I am getting laid off end of this month. 

If I am laid off before my petition is approved, will I be eligible for 60 days grace period? What are my options now.

It is 60 days orI-94 end date, whichever comes first.

The grace period is 60 days or until the expiration date of the current I-94, whichever is shorter.
