Physical Presence in USA to maintain Green Card while aplying Citizenship in USA.

Recommended Posts

There is no such thing as "more than 180 days in USA". For naturalization, you need to 1) not lose your green card, 2) meet the continuous residence requirement, i.e. continuous residence for the last 5 years (an absence of more than 6 months is presumed to break continuous residence, although it is possible to overcome the presumption in the case of an absence of between 6 months and 1 year), and 3) meet the physical presence requirement, i.e. physically present for half (2.5 years) of the last 5 years.
