ContactKumar Posted July 25, 2023 Report Posted July 25, 2023 Dear Sir/Madam, I have recently entered the United States on 03/10/2023 with I-94# 123456789XX, which is valid until 11/27/2025. My employer recently filed an H1B amendment in June 2023 and we have received the approval, but I observed a different I-94 number 786992ABC on my I797 approved petition which is valid from 06/29/2023 until 06/21/2026. Is this accurate? After observing carefully, I see this I-94# was the old one from my previous visit. I believe my new H1B approved petition should have reference to I-94# that I have entered recently on 03/10/2023. Correct? Please help advise. Quote
Zodiac System Posted July 28, 2023 Report Posted July 28, 2023 You have to go by the latest I-94 number and date. I-94 number usually change at POE immigration, after a trip abroad. Your H1b amendment in June 2023, with the latest I-94 number and date is your current I-94 number. Quote
