H1b non exempt apply time limit

Hi Team,

I have H1b which I got in Apr 2017 and travelled to USA on 07 Oct 2017 .As my visa was only for 1 year I was able to stay there till 31 July 2018 including  implied status and my H1b extension got rejected .Now I am planning to apply with same employer , do   I need to apply before 07 Oct 2023 (6 years completing) or I can apply after 07 Oct 2023 also (After 6 year completion from my first entry).

You can apply to get the remainder 5 years in H1 status and there is no time limit.
