MHQ Posted June 15, 2023 Report Posted June 15, 2023 If I have accepted an offer letter for 70k and later on the LCA it is mentioned that the prevailing wages are 80k which is higher than what's mentioned in my offer letter. I asked my new employer about it but they said they'll discuss when I will start but for that I'll have to leave my current job. Will I be in violation of H1B if the company pays me less or will the company be responsible for that? By the time they will have this discussion I would have left my job and will be difficult to find another one within 60 days grace period. Quote
Zodiac System Posted June 19, 2023 Report Posted June 19, 2023 (edited) If you have received an LCA from your new employer which mentions the LCA wages as 80K, it means that your paperwork with the US Govt. is being filed for 80K and legally, your employer will have to pay you minimum starting pay of 80K. If offer letter says 70K, your employer may add 10K bonus into your salary to give you a W2 which mentions 80K. Good Luck. Edited June 19, 2023 by Zodiac System Quote
