Validity of H1B Petition

Hello everyone, 

I have an H1B petition approved in the year of 2017 from my previous employer but I haven't got a chance to do a visa stamping yet. 

Now I want to understand is my Petition still valid and can I go for stamping if my present employer is willing to sponsor/send me to USA for work? 

Any help here is much appreciated

That H1 is gone. It can not be transferred.
