Running Airbnb short-term rentals while on the H1b visa

I am reaching out because I recently purchased a house and I am interested in running it as a short-term rental through Airbnb. However, as someone who is currently on an H1b visa, I am uncertain about the legality of this decision and any potential issues that could arise when it comes time to file for a green card.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience or knowledge regarding running short-term rentals on an H1b visa and if there are any specific regulations or guidelines that I should be aware of. If you have a spouse on H4-EAD she can run this short-term rental through Airbnb.  Good Luck.

That is work, and on H1 you can only work for your employer, so this wouldn't be allowed.
