Prashant S
Hello Experts. My wife was H4 when she came to US and later got enrolled in a known university. During her course, I changed her status from H4 to F1 and because the course was intense, she was never able to leave US and do F1 stamping in India. Now her course is ending in May and before starting OPT, she wants to utilize grace period, and visit India, do the F1 stamping in India and come back to US before OPT starts. Her OPT is already approved has a valid job offer. Question: is it risky to do first time F1 stamping during grace period, provided she has OPT approved and a valid job offer as well to start in OPT. pontevecchio
There would always seem to be some element of risk in the scenario described. She could discuss the situation with her college Student Advisor to get a better handle on the matter and make sure she has all the relevant documents. Quote Link to comment
