Complexity while traveling with previous H1B Visa while no more with that employer

Travelled with previous employer's VISA and started working with employer after filing employer transfer petition. I was working in US with previous employer's VISA  and travelled to India due to family emergency in 2021 Jan and stuck with vis issues and joined offshore and was working at offshore for 6 months and quit my job due to personal reasons and travelled back to USA in Oct 2022. It went to RFE and USCIS asking for paystubs for USA paystub for 2022.

Is this situation, Is it better to respond to RFE  or Can I travel back to India (asking my employer to withdraw the petition) and my employer can  file a new petition (while I am in India) , is there any complexities in getting my new petition approved?

Just curious, how was this RFE handled, as it is the month of October by now. 

Your I-94 travel history will show that you were offshore for 6 months in year 2022.  You should have paystubs from October 2022 onwards.
