Bob_86
Filed I-130 as AOS (currently on B2), but now parents may have to travel out of US. Checking the timelines of process and I-131 may take significant time, seeing these are couple of options. Please advise if these are the paths forward. 1. Wait for I-131 to get Approved (if possible expedite) and travel outside of US. How long can they stay outside of US while concurrent AOS is processing? (Knowing that traveling before I-131 causes AOS to be canceled? 2. Changing AOS to CP ( believe I-824 to be filed), can I-824 be filed while I-130 still in processing? Looking at the timelines I-824 may take 8-10 months and I-130 is taking around 14 months, these both forms timelines run concurrently and its not like first I-824 and then time resets for I-130? a) What medical examinations are needed for CP (out of US) and immunizations? Please advise. Thank you. Edited August 3, 2022 by Bob_86 Quote Link to comment
newacct
I believe that if the I-130 is still pending, you can contact the USCIS Contact Center to have it changed to CP, without filing I-824. Quote Link to comment
