H1B stamping - dropbox - visit to India within 6 months of expiry

Hi,
My husband has approved 140 and his current I-797 is valid till March 30 2023.
He is planning to visit India in November this year (2022) and get the stamping done in dropbox (his last stamping expired in March 2018).

If his employer doesn't file for extension before November (as normally employers file for extension before 1-3 months of expiry) will there be any problem for his visa stamping since he will be having less than 6 months on his current I-797.

H1b extension can be filed 6 months before expiry, i.e. October 01, 2022 approx. in your husband's case.  It can be done in premium processing so he can visit India in November 2022.  He needs to inform his employer on the urgency of H1b extension filing.  Good Luck.
