H1 Extension approved and did not receive approval notice

Hi All,


My H1B extension is approved 2 months back and  i am yet to receive my I797 copy.
My employer or attorney office are saying they did not receive the copy as well.
We raised a SR and as per USCIS response they have asked to file I-824.

Q: 1 : What would my work status in US now, am i still eligible to work or is there any chances i will have to travel back to home country ?
Q:2 : What would be ideal ETA for USCIS to respond once I-824 is filed ?
Q:3 : Can we switch jobs or initiate H1B Transfer ?
Q:4 : Can i file amended H1B ?

Good to know when your I-94 expires.  Check with your employer and his attorney.

Was your H1b extension filed in premium processing?  Then most likely your employer/attorney would have received an email with I-94 expiry date.  Good Luck.

H1 extension was applied in normal along with my dependents H4.
The thing is i got VISA copies of depenedents where as my H1 extension is no where to be found.
Employed filed I-824 but yet to get the receipt.
Right now i am leaning towards 
1: Request employer to file an amended H1B ?
2: Try H1B transfer, but question is can i do this with just receipt number ?

What is the I-94 expiry date given to your dependents?  Most likely you would have the same I-94 expiry date, as they are your dependents.  Check with your employer/attorney on this!

You will be able to file amendment as well as transfer with receipt number.  Good Luck.
