Dropbox enquiry for kid under 14

My husband H1b visa expired and got approved till 2022 and he is staying in US (not stamped).

And we are eligible for dropbox till december 2020. 

Me and my 4 year old son is in india planning to take dropbox appointment .  i saw " Child below 14 years of age must submit a photocopy of each parent’s passport biographic information page and valid U.S. visa (note that if parents do not hold U.S. visas, children are not eligible for the interview waiver). "

What does it mean? my son is eligible to take dropbox appointment ? what are the documents need to carry ?

I feel in your case if dad visa is not stamped.. Child below 14 years of age  must attend visa interview...

my son is eligible to take dropbox appointment ? -- I guess no. Does DS 160 do not help here ?

DS 160 and fathers i797 is enough to get the dropbox ?
