221G+DS-5535, New Delhi, H1-B, F1-H1-B COS

Recommended Posts

Hello, I had my visa interview in New Delhi Embassy for H1-B visa stamping, they issued me a form 221G and asked me to submit form DS-5535.

It has been almost 3 weeks with no updates to the case on the CEAC website.

Can someone shed some light if they had a similar experience?

Same as usual post only when you have issues but do not share the details of how the interview went and what questions they ask so that it might HELP others.. Beside waiting you cannot do anything..

My apologies,

Here is my visa interview transcript.

VO: Good morning, can I have your passport sir?

ME: Good morning, passed my passport with I-797.

VO: Who do you work for?

ME: stated my company name.

VO: Where is this company and what do you do for them?

ME: stated my company location and briefed my job responsibilities.

VO: How long have you been working in the US and What is your Salary.

ME: Mentioned my work experience in the US and my current salary.

VO: Typing something on the computer and mentioned he see some pop-up, directed me to scan right hand four fingers then asked me to go to window number 1.

ME: Followed his directions and went to window number 1, met with an Indian lady who gave me a white slip checking to submit DS-5535 which I'll receive by email as a word document.

Submitted the DS-5535 the following day 9th March 2021 and waiting since then with no update on the CEAC website.

When I follow up with Embassy I get the same blanket response, that case is under mandatory processing.
