Developer9 Posted March 28, 2021 Report Share Posted March 28, 2021 (edited) Hi, I am planning to travel in April last week,but my employer has lost my original I797 and applied for a duplicate.I have a copy of my I797 and receipt notice of the duplicate copy request.Could some please let me know if a original I797 is mandatory at visa interview and POE? rksingh Posted March 30, 2021 Report Share Posted March 30, 2021 The original is not mandatory....the embassy/consulate can check PIMS by using the duplicate copy. Also since you do not have any employer change, at POE you only need to show the visa stamp in your passport. Quote Link to comment
