keshavbirla
Hello, I'm going to get Married in May, 2021 and thinking to bring my going to be wife with me end of May back to US. Now since timely appointment (early May) will be hard to get, so I was wondering if I can fill out the DS-160 for her now and schedule an appointment after my wedding. Does any one have any suggestion or experience if this can be done? and if so are their any risks? Also, if yes what should I put as Marital Status on DS-160 (Single/Married/Other)? Thanks in advance!! Quote Link to comment
wenger.swiss
Yes you can fill DS-160 before marriage with marital status as Married and also can take an appointment before you actually get married for the date past marriage date. Quote Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
Just start DS 160 and take an appointment for a date after your marraige. Take the appointment like married status. 3 days before the visa appointment fill DS 160 and submit it. Do not forget to keep DS 160 active till that time... Quote Link to comment
