I485 Approved, but GC not received for Child. Need to travel out of USA due to family emergency

Hello All

Myself and family are part of EB1 AOS and me and my wife have received the green card. I received 485 approval notice for my 6 year old child, but his GC is stuck somewhere with USPS and I've requested e-request with USCIS for review. Meanwhile, my wife and kid need to travel out of USA.

Can I expect the GC to come in near future as I'm going to be in the country for few more weeks and expect to receive child's GC and carry it to overseas and bring them back ? 

Please suggest some options and what should I do next to make sure child's return to USA isnt impacted.

Go to a USCIS office before you guys leave and get an I-551 stamp for the child on his/her passport.
