indianstudent4usa Posted October 5, 2020 Report Posted October 5, 2020 I was in USA 14 years back on a student F1 visa -- though I was a PhD(Physics) student initially I couldn't finish that but was awarded an MS(Physics) because of the coursework requirement I had completed as a part of the PhD program. I never applied for an OPT. It's been approximately 14 years since I left US and came to my home country. My question is -- if I apply to US schools again now for for STEM graduate (Master) programs such as MS in Applied Statistics , Data Science etc. , will I be eligible for an OPT ? Basically -- can I still be eligible for OPT even though I had never applied or taken advantage of this 14 years back? Quote
