Port of Entry Stamp on Expiring Passport

Need clarity on the issue below : -

Background: My I797A is valid until 21NOV2022.  And my wife's India passport is expiring on 30JAN2022. During our port of entry back in US early this year in Feb ; the US Immigration Officers stamped my wife's passport ( ON H4 VISA ) based on her passport expiration date that is 30JAN2022 with the comment as PP EXP.

Question: Once I renew her passport here in the USA and she can continue her stay at US-based on her newly issued  Indian passport and my valid petition till end of 21NOV2022 and subsequent extensions.

Onec your wife extends her ( best to do 6 months before 30JAN2022 ) just cross the border and come back again to get new I94. I feel that I94 will have end date as per her H4.
