Trivedi33 Posted August 27, 2020 Report Posted August 27, 2020 Hi, I am on H1B visa and I have 2 approved I-140. Unfortunately, I have to move to new job. My employment based GC priority date is EB-3 Oct -2010. As it's almost 1 year away from getting my PD current, so I asked my current employer to start green card and reached upto PERM approved stage. I don't have any urgency like 6 year is reaching. My current employer is saying that it is very risky situation due to COVID-19 situation as there is already more unemployment in the market, so if we file GC right now like Advertisement etc , it will be very risky. My questions are : 1. Is it correct assumption that to start PERM related processing like Wage, advertisement and filing PERM is too much risky in the current COVID-19 situation due to lots of unemployment in the market and there are more changes to get queries/denials? It will be very appreciated , some one clear my doubts. Thank You. Quote
pontevecchio Posted August 27, 2020 Report Posted August 27, 2020 In the age of COVID, I would suggest not rocking the boat and say next year when the matter settles, then look for an employer to file. Quote
