eagle4 Posted August 11, 2020 Report Share Posted August 11, 2020 Hi, Me and my wife had an argument, she called 911 and I was arrested, booked for 243.e1. Bailed out same day. I retained a criminal defense attorney, he reached out to DA - they made a decision to file charges. Arraignment is in Oct Wife also went ahead and got a DVRO, so there is now a case pending in the Family court as well. I have H1 renewal coming up, question is do I need to mention arrest - since case is still pending? how do I come out of this mess.... Quote Link to comment
pontevecchio Posted August 13, 2020 Report Share Posted August 13, 2020 All I can suggest is to keep an Immigration Lawyer in the loop to minimize any future damage. If the H1 extension papers ask for any arrests, you should mention them and only if asked. Quote Link to comment
