Viju Girish Posted July 28, 2020 Report Posted July 28, 2020 Hello, My parents recently got their GC petitions approved and they even got interview dates with immigrant visa's stamped on their passports. Unfortunately, with the COVID they were unable to travel and the entry visa expired. The stamping was done in Mumbai consulate. Unfortunately, the consulate has still not opened, nor are they responding to queries. Question to the group a) Can we reopen the case locally and can we get a new entry permit to ensure that they are able to travel or do we have to wait for the consulate to open? Their 10-year multiple entry visa was revoked when the immigrant visa was granted. Quote

pontevecchio Posted July 29, 2020 Report Posted July 29, 2020 The Consulate needs to reopen and then they need to issue another IV for them to come over. Their only choice is to wait and watch. I see no progress before Late November. Quote
