nani22 Posted July 28, 2020 Report Posted July 28, 2020 Currently I am with employer A and they are making delay in initiating my Perm application. I am in 4th year of my H1b(2 years left) Can I start my perm application with other employer without working for them? Are there any issues with that or chances of rejection ? Quote
gopalakrishnach Posted July 28, 2020 Report Posted July 28, 2020 Can I start my perm application with other employer without working for them? --- I feel if you do not work for them most employers will not work on your case. But I do not know whether law has provision for it. I will wait for experts to answer. Are there any issues with that or chances of rejection ? --- sorry no magical formula or magical mirror to predict. It depends on your profile. Quote
Mav777 Posted July 29, 2020 Report Posted July 29, 2020 Yes, the gc process is for future employment, any employer or even multiple employers can file for PERM. You don’t have to be working for them. Whether you work for an employer or not has no bearing on the approval of perm/i-140. Quote
nani22 Posted August 10, 2020 Author Report Posted August 10, 2020 Thank you. So I have two options and i am fluctuating with them. Options 1.Transfer to other employer and start working with them and file perm application 2.File perm application with 2nd employer and Continue working with 'Employer A' until perm is approved.
