H1B status "submitted" & job change

Hello, My current h1b status is “submitted” and I’m on F-1 visa and I have 2 questions:

1. Can I change employer?

2. If my submitted status change to selected and if my current employer did not mail the application nor withdraw it will it affect my F-1 status?

1. Nope you ned get your first H1B approved and start the first H1B and activate it. Then you can change employer. Better to have 2 pay stubs on first H1B.

2. Not sure.

1. You can change employers, but your current employer who filed H1 might withdraw the H1 and you will have to go thought the lottery again.

2. If current employer don't withdraw in time, then it will be a moved to H1 and your F1 will be gone. If you plan on quitting, make sure the H1 is withdraws in time before Oct 1st.
