H1B Transfer after 60 days grace period

Hi Team,

My H1B grace period will end on Jun 23 2020. Because of travel restrictions I can't travel.

Can an employer can file H1B transfer after 60 days grace period if I get an offer ?.

Please help on this.

Before 60 days or end of I94 which ever comes first you need to have H1B petition. If not you need to leave ASAP after 60 days.

You can have B2 petition for 60 days rule and after it is approved you can have H1B COS petition.

But B2 to H1B is complicated I feel.

I maybe wrong.

You should file a COS to an other visa status if you want to be in the country after the 60 day grace period. New employer can file for a new H1, but it might be consular processing. You should check with an attorney to make sure whats the best case for you.
