mfmdts
Hi, I am planning to re-enter USA from Canada using AVR. I have my first I-94 stapled in my PP which is expired in 2003 along with my H1B visa. Since then I have multiple I-797 and I-94 dies to extensions. Now while flying from USA, at the airport in USA, do I need to give only the expired I-94 that is stapled in the PP or all the I-94s except the current valid one. Thanks Link to comment
pontevecchio
First do not carry the previous I94's. Only carry the current and valid I94. The idea of AVR is not to give up the existing I94 and using the same I94 to come back. Link to comment
Joe.F
And make sure that the airline does not take the I-94 out of your passport. Years back, I had some problems convincing the airline personnel that they shouldn't take the I-94... Link to comment
mfmdts
Thank you pontevecchio. Can you please clarify (as I am not sure how it goes about immigration/I94 at the airports).. 1. so it is better to take out the oldest I-94 card from the PP (this was stapled during my first entry)? 2. What do they see while exiting from the US airport (to check that we have not overstayed), a valid I-94? 3. Do they ask this at the Airlines check-in counter? If they ask, we have to tell that we need I-94 to use for AVR? 4. Once I land in Canada as PR, will any Canadian/USA officials again ask/take the I-94? Thanks! Link to comment
pontevecchio
1. Only carry the latest I94. Why is this so difficult to understand? Plkease make sure only the latest I94 is attached to the Passport. 2. They do not check because of overstay. 3. Yes if they ask. 4. Why? Link to comment
