Senthil1987
Hi , My visa is valid till Jun 2019 and expired. My current H1B extension was approved till Jun 2022 with Company A. I am going to initiate my H1 transfer to Company B in normal processing. Will join based on Fedex receipt. As per policy , Company A will cancel my H1 and H4 as soon as I leave them. How long I can stay in USA while this H1b transfer in progress? Quote Link to comment

gopalakrishnach
You can join company only after USCIS Receipt not FEDEX receipt. Best advice join them after approval. In your case you are applying H1B petition before your I94 expiry( My current H1B extension was approved till Jun 2022 with Company A. .. Did you get I94 here) You can work till 240 days after I94 expiry. After that you need to stop working but can stay in USA until you get response. Quote Link to comment
User099
You should not start working on the Fedex receipt notice. You can work as long as the transfer is pending, 240 day rule doesn't apply to you. Quote Link to comment

I did not travel outside USA , so my I94 in website is still showing 30-Jun-2019. But My extension approval notice has i94 with expired date updated till 10-Jul-2022 Quote Link to comment
