Sanju15 Posted May 5, 2020 Report Share Posted May 5, 2020 Hi , i am on H1b visa, lost my job on Mar 19 2020 due to COVID 19 layoffs. I am on my 60 day grace period and havent found a new job yet. My husband is a US citizen now and applied for I485/I130 but havent yet received my receipt yet as there were some issued in the form filing and have been going back and forth . If my 60 days grace period expires, would I be considered illegal stay in US or is it ok to stay as I have applied for my adjustment application . please suggest , I am worried about my situation as illegal stay would cause problems when I485 gets processed Quote Link to comment
