H4 extension travel question for spouse

My current h1b with change of employer was approved under premium processing and is valid until 2023.

My spouse’s h4 validity was until year 2021 before my change of employer. Had to apply for my spouse’s H4 extension along with mine and her application is still pending . H4 extension Initial filing date was December 10th 2019. Her biometrics appointment was on January 2nd 2020.

Now the real question 

Can she travel outside country(specifically canada) with her current h4 that was valid until 2021 ? Or does she have to wait until the new h4 extension application gets approved ?

Any help here is greatly appreciated!

She can use Automatic Visa Revalidation to return for trips less than 30 days.

She is good, I don't even think she will fall under AVR. She has a valid visa till 2021 to travel.
