ng88
Hi, I'm on O1 Visa working with an employer. My wife is on (dependent) O3 visa. Our Visas are valid till Jan 2021. But due to family reasons, I plan to voluntarily resign from my job and return to India (home country) in mid-2020, i.e. before the end date of Visa or I-94. I will need around 3-4 weeks to wrap up things: Apartment, car, other stuff etc. Do I get the 60-day grace period after my last day at work? If yes, is there any legal forms/procedure that I need to do to get this? Thank you! Appreciate help in this. Quote Link to comment
pontevecchio
"DHS may, in its discretion, recognize up to a 60-day grace period (or until the end of the petition, whichever is shorter) per validity period, if employment ends before the petition end date. User099
It looks like O is one of the visa categories that qualifies for a 60 day grace period of end of employment. Quote Link to comment
