citigenx
Hi, My Mother applied for my GC under F2B (Unmarried sons and Daughters of PERM resident) in AUG, 2008 (later I missed the dates and lost opportunity to become Perm Resident) when she was having GC/PERM resident. My mother became a naturalized citizen in 2012 and I got married in 2013. Called NVC and told them my mother is now a citizen and I am also married and they said the f2b category will now change to F3, just send the documents of the naturalization and marriage certificate. Spoke to NVC about updating my category but it doesn't seem like its been changed. Questions are will I be getting a visa under the f3 or f2b? If f3, how long are the processing times after the conversion? And I got married after my mother became a citizen, so does my file remain intact with original priority date preserved? at what point of time I will include my husband details also to my existing file? Could you please try to answer? Thanks Sandhya Edited January 6, 2020 by citigenx Quote Link to comment
