biplabmandal
Hi, I am currently in the US on H-1B from Company A. My son and wife are in India with H4 Visa stamped already. The validity of H1 and H4 is till June 2013. Now on Aug 5, 2011, I am going to join Company B in the US for whom already my Visa has transferred and a new I797 petition is available. The validity of this is also till June 2013. My wife and child are expected to travel to the US in last week of August. Are they eligible to travel to the US on the H4 Visa stamped on their passport? Or do they need to get a fresh H4 stamping done on their passport since I have switched companies. Please advise me soon. Cheers, Bip Link to comment
pontevecchio
They can come in on the existing visa along with your latest H1 approval. Link to comment
biplabmandal
Thank you Sir for your reply. So do you mean they need to carry a copy of my new Petition and during Immigration they need to show it to the Immigration officer? What else do you recommend them to carry while enterring the US?
