Stork
Hi, I have my I797B petition approved for fresh H1B Visa. In the petition, the Consulate POI is mentioned as CHENNAI. Our client is a well known organization globally and headquartered in the U.S. I do not have a client letter but only approved SOW. There is also very high pressure to join the project ASAP and my company here in India, advises me to go for Visa interview/stamping to any country outside India where the waiting time is less. In Chennai it is 35 days. Shall I opt for Colombo ( 9 days ) or Singapore (1 day) for (fresh H1B) Visa stamping? Do I run into troubles or Will the consulate turn me down only to apply for stamping only in Chennai? Please et me know. Thanks, Partha Quote Link to comment
keshavr
Based on my experience, I would recommend to go with your home country consulate. To answer your question on whether the consulate will reject based on applying in different country? No, They wont Quote Link to comment
