karthikkv``
My Parents came on March '19. They can stay here till Sep '19. Due to my husband's work, we could not take them for sightseeing. Since he gets holidays in year end, we wanted to apply for extension to stay here. Is there any link to follow the procedure to apply online? I wanted to apply the extension for both Mom and Dad. When I tried to do so, I got following questions 1. Should i submit 2 applications for Mom and Dad separately? 2. Is the Fee $370 for both or Individual? 3. Can i do it online when there is co applicant? If not how do I do it? 4. we want them to come back in 6 months. Will there be any problem in Port of entry? 5. Is 6 months gap enough between the trips? Thank you all in advance. Looking forward to hear back from you. Note: We do not have kids. We truly wanna take our parents for sightseeing. Link to comment
xTDx
They should file form i539 - http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-539.pdf . There is no group or family application in i539. It is an individual application. Any applicable fee is for individual filing. Rest is pretty straightforward. One can only stay in US as per the dates stamped on the passport unless an extension of status application via form i539 is timely filed. Not a bad idea to consult with an immigration attorney. pontevecchio
1.2.3. have been covered above. 4. 5. They may very well be given a very short stay if they return in 6 months. Under the prevailing circumstances they should leave in September as per schedule and return next Year end when your spouse has enough leave. Do not take the prevailing circumstance lightly. These are extraordinary times . Link to comment
