hs24
Hello, I am currently on H-1B cap-subject visa. I'm looking to change jobs and the potential employer is cap-exempt. My questions are: 1) Does the potential employer need to submit a new application or can I just transfer my visa? 2) How soon can I start working once transfer process is initiated? Or what is the timeline for the whole process? Thanks! Edited June 24, 2019 by hs24 Quote Link to comment
JoeF
A transfer IS a new H1 petition. The timelines are are the same as for any other H1 petition. Quote Link to comment
pontevecchio
1. Every so-called "transfer" is a new noncap H1 petition approval. 2. You can start on getting the receipt for the H1 petition. Quote Link to comment
